Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Dr. Francess George is a board-certified Psychiatric–Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) who founded Family Wellness Psychiatry to provide thoughtful, relationship-centered psychiatric care for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. Over more than ten years in outpatient, inpatient, and community practice, she has helped individuals and families navigate depression, anxiety, ADHD and other neurodevelopmental conditions, trauma and PTSD, bipolar disorders, and stress related to major life changes.

Dr. George holds additional certification in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C) and is a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional (CIMHP). These advanced trainings inform her work with individuals during pregnancy and the postpartum period, as well as her whole-person approach to care. When appropriate, she integrates evidence-based medication management with attention to sleep, nutrition, movement, and stress reduction.

Her style is warm, direct, and collaborative. Dr. George partners closely with primary care providers, pediatricians, OB/GYNs, therapists, and schools to support continuity of care and clear communication. At the heart of her work is a simple goal: that every person she meets feels heard, respected, and supported in moving toward a life that aligns with their values.

She offers in-person appointments in Albany and Sackets Harbor, New York, and telepsychiatry services to patients across the state.
